Ray Mitra, President & Founder

Ray Mitra is the founder and president of Induz. He is responsible for overseeing all strategy and operations of the organization, promoting activities aimed at achieving the organization's goals, directing the planning and goal-setting processes, and regularly evaluating the performance of the organization in achieving its mission.  In the last 9 years that he founded Induz, he has taken the organization from a small group of volunteers raising funds for other charity organization to an international organization making a difference in underprivileged children's lives in India and USA. His vision of connecting people and cultures through the arts has become a reality through the various programs and initiatives offered by Induz.

Ray is a management professional in the high tech industry.


Piya Mitra, Creative Director & Co-Founder

Piya Mitra is the co-founder and Creative Director of Induz. She is responsible for all the creative aspects and curriculum development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature. Piya used to work in the hi-tech industries in Quality Assurance and Testing. She is now fully dedicates her time to Induz. Piya is very passionate about the arts and comes from a family of musicians. She played an instrumental role ins the vision and strategy formulation of Induz.

Piya is responsible for assisting the President with leadership, administrative, and public 
relations responsibilities, leading special committees and projects, and performing a wide array
.


Ken Morris, General Secretary

Ken Morris joined Induz Board as Director Outreach to evangelize and reach out to prospective partners. On the request of the Board he took on the responsibility of the Board Secretary which he has been holding since October 2013. Ken has more than 20 years of business development and general management experience having worked in technology companies internationally and in the US. A firm believer in giving back to the community, he has been actively involved in various organisations and community groups helping their fundraising and special projects with great success for the past decade. Ken is an engineer and has an MBA from CalState East Bay. 


Parneet Gandhi, CFO

Being a Certified Public Accountant by profession, Parneet handles financial aspect of Induz. She is responsible for finance, budgeting, cash flow, accounting and legal compliance of Induz. After working with a well known CPA firm in Bay area, she has started her own CPA practice and is a Director and Co-founder of KG Group CPA Inc. Parneet’s belief in the mission of Induz made her work for Induz. Being a mom of two kids herself, she understands the value of art and its impact on the overall development of kids.


Vikram Kohli, Director

 

Vikram started as a volunteer sponsor of Induz in 2005. After several years of various volunteer jobs, he was elected to the Board in 2013. He works with the Board on developing Awards and Recognition programs. He also coordinate the pageant entry & ticketing at various Induz events. In his professional career, Vikram works as a Financial Advisor / Planner. Over the years he has acquired several credentials in his field which include an MBA (finance), Certified Financial Planner (tm), Certified Retirement Planning Counselor (tm). Vikram is a firm believer in education for the advancement of society, but, also feels that the focus of modern education is primarily around remunerative professions. The Arts often loose focus moreso in the underprivileged communities. Induz does a great job of compiling entertaining fundraising events to plow the little proceeds to stretch to children in low income communities. This allows these children to learn about Arts in a fun filled environment, which Vikram believes is healthy for strong and stable societies. He envisions Induz programs to expand to areas such as Photography, Music, Computer Graphics and across geographic boundaries as well. 


Anupam Parganiha, Marketing Director

Anupam brings the Marketing/Brand mindset to all Induz activities. Each interactions Induz has with its students, partners, volunteers, donors, Events guests have a positive or non-positive effect on the brand/relationship. Anupam with his Sales and relationship background brings insight and measurement from this perspective. He also continues to manage some of the key partner relationships that he initiated. He currently works at MphasiS where he manages some of client relationships. Anupam believes that creativity is essential for success in the future and all kids should be given the opportunity to nurture and develop creativity via arts, STEM ( science, technology, engineering and math) is no longer enough, we need to have STEAM (A for Arts), http://stemtosteam.org/


Jyoti Sarin, Programs Director US

Jyoti Sarin is on the board of Induz and is responsible for Induz programs as the Programs Director. Jyoti is a technologist by profession and currently working in Cisco leading the Innovation and Research organization in IT. Jyoti works in the Information Technology, having worked with companies like Oracle and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. Jyoti is an artist at heart and is passionate about the importance of art in the life of a child. 


Lailani Africa, Intern

Lailani Africa is the outreach intern of Induz. She assists the Induz Team with grant research, community outreach and the social media presence of the organization. Lailani is a psychology and social action student at Palo Alto University. Her main focus in the arts includes music and poetry. On her free time, you can find her performing at open mics around the Bay Area. After years of performing, she wanted to do more with her art. Her passion for music helped her take an interest in art education and advocacy leading her work into Induz. Her vision for Induz is to bring awareness of the importance of art education and what it can bring for our communities.


Manuel Hernandez, Intern

US Program Coordination

Manuel is the intern program coordinator for Induz. He assists Induz with logistics for new curriculum training, progress, and outcomes of programs provided. Manuel is a psychology undergraduate student at Palo Alto University. His main focus is arts and music. His background in music and current experience as a student of psychology in social action motivated him to promote arts and culture for the low income communities. His vision for Induz is to make a positive  impact on society with those that need the most help.

Debashis Saha, Program Director 

Debashis Saha is the Senior Director of Platform and Systems Engineering at eBay. He has held senior management roles at Oracle Corporation's Server Technologies. Debashis has extensive experience in managing and developing software in areas of distributed computing, database systems, Internet, and cloud technologies. He has several patents and publications related to computer systems and very large-scale integration design. Debashis holds a MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur. Debashis became involved with Induz during its inception as the Director of Strategy and is now responsible for the development of Project Tulika, Bengal Chapter. Debashis deeply cares about a rounded development of children and giving back is a top priority for him.

Sanjay Saxena, Events Director

Sanjay Saxena is on the board of Induz and is responsible for planning and executing fundraiser events. Sanjay is an IT consultant by profession and has an engineering degree. He is very passionate about the cause of children, especially underprivileged children and drives the fundraising event planning and execution so that Induz can continue to support the international initiatives.
