Mae Aquino

Mae Aquino, Director - Public Relations & Outreach

Mae has been involved in the community doing voluntary work for various non-profit agencies like Hands On Bay Area, Ronald McDonald House, Support Network for Battered Women as well local schools. Her passion in helping others in the community has landed her into a lead role for Intuit's philanthropy program, We Care and Give Back.

Mae was exposed to art and music through her father who is a very passionate artist. He bought a piano and other instruments for Mae and her siblings to practice on. But without proper instruction and guidance, Mae and her siblings were unable to develop their artistic talent. Through Project Tulika, Mae hopes that children will not be deprived of the education and guidance to discover their talents and develop their self-confidence.

Mae Aquino is an Executive Assistant at Intuit, a leading maker of financial software company based in Mountain View, California.

Mae graduated from University of Phoenix and holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management. She believes that education is a vital part of one's well-being and success and she continues to take classes such as accounting and taxation at local colleges and universities.


Debashis Saha

Debashis Saha, Director - Strategy

Debasish is the Director of Kernel Systems Engineering at eBay.

Debashis is very passionate about leading people through a greater involvement in the community. He believes that a well rounded development and exposure to different forms of art and creativity will help individuals become citizens of a boundary-less world.

Debashis's vision is to see Induz play a big part in providing people with this opportunity and to bring out the best they have in themselves.

Debashis holds a MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He was honored with the prestigious President of India Gold Medal from IIT, Kharagpur.


William Plante

William Plante, Director - Grants

Plante is the Director of Business Continuity for the Small Business EcoSystem, Intuit Corporation in Mountain View, CA.

Plante has had an interest in the arts from a very early age. He has written short stories and poetry, has produced a pantomime production for a theatre arts program and is now experimenting with photography. He hopes to promote art and the artistic experience for children locally and abroad through various Induz projects.

Plante graduated from the Facility Management program at Ryerson University, Toronto and has attended the ISMA Senior Leadership program from Kellogg School of Management.

Salil Kumar Mitra

Salil Kumar Mitra, Lead - Project Tulika, Assam

Mr. Mitra is the Principal of a Higher Secondary School of 1200 students in Assam and the lead behind the Induz's first project in Silghat,India. He is a respected member of the local community and was able to leverage his school & community network to support the initiative.

Mr. Mitra is very passionate about art and always wanted to do something for the local community. He is very happy that he has the privilege to lead Induz's first project in his local community.


Rajib Thapa

Rajib Thapa, Director - India Operations - Project Tulika, Assam

Rajib Thapa is an officer from Assam Civil Service. He had worked in a tea company for nine years which is a manual labour intensive industry and involved himself for upliftment of the labour community prior to joining Government Service.

Thapa has a passion for rendering his help for socio-cultural and economic development of people of the bottom of the pyramid which he does in his official capacity to the extent possible.

Thapa is originally from a place close to Silghat in Assam, the site for Project Tulika art school. He is already involved with various organizations of the area and was founder of a socio cultural organization named "Samalay" in Kaliabor, Assam, India.

Thapa graduated from College of Engineering, Trivandrum, India and attended "General Management Programme"  in Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.


R K Thomas, Director - India Operations - Project Tulika, Assam

R K Thomas is a qualified Commercial Pilot. He has had an interest in organizing events as well as in social service at a very early age. He has been associated with organizations like Helpage India, Beauty without Cruelty (BWC), Child Relief & You (CRY) & Rotaract & has organized a number of musical shows and programs in this regard, the proceeds of which were given to charity.

R K Thomas has studied M.Tech (Comp Sci) as well as an MBA in addition to a number of IT courses at Stanford University as well as Kent State University in the US. He is presently undergoing the SELP advanced program of the Landmark Education.
