CULTURE CONNECT: BEAUTY AND COSTUMES OF INDIA

May 19, 2010SILICON VALLEY, CA. – Induz, a Bay Area non-profit that aims to connect people and cultures through the arts, in partnership with the Alameda County Library will organize an event to showcase the Indian culture at the Castro Valley library on Saturday, June 5th 1- 4 PM.
The event will showcase traditional costumes of India from the different regions and states; and aim to educate the audience about the cultures, traditions and nuances of India so as to enable better appreciation of different cultures. The event will also include dance performances by Kriyaa Dance Academy, a henna tattoo booth offering free designs and opportunities to be photographed in traditional costumes and jewelry.
