Induz proudly presents KRIA World Fusion Music & Dance Concert, a fundraiser to benefit the
Tulika Project in Assam, India and future bay area art programs.
The concert is comprised of a diverse group of musicians and dancers across the globe that have shared their distinct talents with one another and collectively produced a unique performance masterpiece.
We hope you will join us for this extraordinary night of elegantly blended world music and fusion dance.

Guest of Honor, Hollywood Actor, FARAN TAHIR
Accomplished actor and Harvard graduate, FARAN TAHIR has performed in numerous Hollywood movies and television series. His most memorable roles are Raza in Iron Man and Captain in Star Trek XI (to be released in 2009). He has appeared in television series Lost, The West Wing, NYPD Blue, The Practice, and Law & Order. In addition to being a star, FARAN is an ardent believer of supporting the community through art and culture.

KRIA, in Sanskrit, means 'Action'. To take action is a powerful gesture, and it is not done without thought. The performance will depict the story of KRIA – thought to action. There's a process that leads up to KRIA or taking action. We've identified several moments on this journey.

Headlining are musicians: Abhishek Basu; internationally acclaimed tabla player and composer and Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya; world renowned grammy nominee, santoor maestro who has performed with musical legends Ravi Shankar and George Harrison of the Beatles. Accompanied by Sacramento jazz musicians; Jim Wendt on keyboard and Erik Everett on drums.
With a vibrant and gifted dance team lead by Shivani Thakkar; dancer, choreographer, and actress, Project Pulse; Bay Area dance and drama company,Holly Shaw; San Franciscan flamenco dancer and Katy Barnhill, multi faceted & award winning dancer/choreographer.
We are pleased to have honorary guest; Faran Tahir, actor in Iron Man, Lost, and Star Trek XI attending the event and helping Induz spread the word about the Tulika Project.
